Quite an intense course that I was sceptical about at the outset. However, I found it very interesting and compelling, keeping me interested and leaving me with further questions that I will research despite this not being anything that I am likely to come into contact with through my role within the Police. It has made me more informed regarding what has happened to people and how we as an organisation can help to reduce the effect of ACEs on children and subsequently a reduction in the stress on other services over time.

I have learnt a lot form this package and it has bene very impactive on me.

This course was fantastic, great content & input from different sources and experts, and of course those affected by ACE's. There was a good mix of different media forms (text, video, audio) to keep your attention and it was well presented. The information was easy to understand and came with downloadable content which offered further reading if you are interested, or to test yourself and see how many ACE indicators you have experienced in your own life. The test was very easy, and just affirmed some key take-away points, I thought the test would be longer and more challenging, but I suppose this is not the point. It was a very eye opening course and has given me a lot to think about, especially now that I feel I have more of an understanding of the behaviours and experiences of some people I interact with on an almost daily basis. This course definitely gives you more tools and perspectives to use as a police officer.

E-learning, all too often isn't interesting or engaging. The content here is pitched at a good level and the range of media used is sufficiently engaging and educational. The powerful content really makes you stop and take stock of what is missing in so many lives and how professionals can recognise the signs and adapt for more positive outcomes
